Jun 26 2025 • 68 mins

Jimbo welcomes Daniel Storey, JJ Bull and Tom Williams into the pod to discuss football, Springsteen and cleats. We’ve got almost a full set of last 16 ties to look forward to, including Chelsea’s clash with Benfica. Lee Carsley takes England Under 21s to a second successive Euros final as Harvey Elliott shows his worth to potential suitors. They face favourites Germany on Saturday. Brazil bossing the Club World Cup, plus PSG v Messi in the last 16

Jun 24 2025 • 58 mins

Jimbo, Duncan Alexander, Charlie Eccleshare and Colin Millar are in the studio with wall-to-wall football to discuss. PSG set up a reunion with Lionel Messi and Inter Miami in the last 16 of the Club World Cup. And Botafogo knock out Atletico Madrid to tee up an all-Brazilian clash with Palmeiras. Jack Lang in LA tells us why Brazilian sides are doing so well at this tournament. Man City face Juventus on Thursday with both sides already through. Are both free-scoring sides back to their best or are they just playing bad teams? And we need to talk about the weather. There are goals galore and family trees rocking in both the Under 19 and Under 21s Euros, where holders England are one game away from the final. Plus why no Lautaro love, CWC sides in the Premier League and the Sampdoria saga. Produced by Charlie Jones. Totally Gold 2013/14: When Liverpool let it slip

Jun 22 2025 • 26 mins

Back in the summer of 2020, Jimbo and co passed the time reviewing classic Premier League campaigns. Here from the vault, we bring you the thoughts of Michael Cox, James Horncastle and Tom Williams on the 2013/14 season, when there were 4 teams in the title race! It was Manuel Pellegrini's Man City that won it but this will always be remembered as the championship Liverpool lost, after Gerrard's slip and Crystanbul. Imagine if Luis Suarez had gone to Arsenal. The Gunners led for most of the season while Mourinho was back at Chelsea and threatening to lead them to glory once again. Plus we had Di Canio at Sunderland, Pardew head-butting a player, and Anelka sacked for a goal celebration. Produced by Charlie Jones. RUNNING ORDER:  • PART 1a: Arsenal fail to sign Suarez (02.30) • PART 1b: Paolo Di Canio at Sunderland (07.00)  • PART 1c: Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal (10.00) • PART 1d: Liverpool 3-2 Man City (12.30) • PART 2a: Liverpool 0-2 Chelsea (17.00) • PART 2b: Crystanbul (21.00) • PART 2c: Anelka and the quenelle (25.00) Hosted on Acast.
